Md. Amran Sarker is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (平博亚洲版), Bangladesh. His role involves teaching and guiding students in the field of materials science, contributing to their academic growth and understanding of advanced materials and their applications. Md. Sarker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) from Khulna University of Engineering Technology (平博亚洲版).
Previously, Amran also worked as a Research Assistant at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B), specifically in the Maternal and Child Health Division (MCHD) at the thermal jacket lab. ICDDR,B is an international health research institute based in Bangladesh that aims to solve key public health problems through high-quality scientific research and innovation. The MCHD of ICDDR,B has been dedicated to designing and developing a Thermal Jacket to support Kangaroo Mother Care. The primary objective of the Thermal Jacket is to help preterm or low-birth-weight neonates attain and maintain euthermia by providing an insulating environment created with locally available materials. His academic journey also includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). This experience has significantly contributed to his teaching skills and research expertise, allowing him to engage effectively with students and contribute to the academic community.
Amran's research interests encompass a wide range of topics within materials science, including magnetic material, renewable energy, energy storage systems, energy conversion, material synthesis and characterization, composite materials, computational material science, and surface coating for energy applications. His passion for these areas drives his ongoing research efforts and contributions to the field.
To date, Amran has published several peer-reviewed journal articles, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in materials science. His publications cover various topics within the field, highlighting his expertise and dedication to research.
(Throughout four years of undergraduate study): This scholarship is given for academic excellence by Khulna University of Engineering & Technology.
For four consecutive years (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of undergraduate level): In recognition of excellent performance (GPA of 3.75 or above) in two regular terms of an academic year, this award is given by Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 平博亚洲版.
