This is Mr. Mizanoor Rahman, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (ƽ²©ÑÇÖÞ°æ), Bangladesh. He earned his Master of Science in International Construction Management from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2015. Prior to that, he completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering at ƽ²©ÑÇÖÞ°æ in 2007. Mr. Mizanoor is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng.) and a Member of ASCE (SM).
After graduating from ƽ²©ÑÇÖÞ°æ, Mr. Mizanoor began his career working on the "Asia Pro Eco-II Programme," a project at ƽ²©ÑÇÖÞ°æ funded by the European Commission. He then embarked on an overseas career in Singapore, where he accumulated around nine years of diverse practical experience. During his time in Singapore, Mr. Mizanoor gained extensive expertise in the construction of high-rise residential, commercial, hotel, and airport projects, with additional experience in deep foundations, steel structures, precast building systems, and composite structures. Mr. Mizanoor has contributed to some of Singapore's most iconic building projects, including Marina Bay Sands (MBS), Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), and Tanjong Pagar Centre, the tallest building in Singapore at 65 stories (290 meters). He has also been involved in supervising the construction of a 29-story five-star hotel in Khulna, Bangladesh.
Mr. Mizanoor has acquired comprehensive knowledge in various aspects of construction, including PSSCOC, SIA, JCT & FIDIC Conditions of Contract, Construction Law, Buildability, Constructability, Productivity, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Green Building Design Techniques, BCA Green Mark, Sustainable Construction, CONQUAS, Quality Marks (QM), EMS (ISO 14001), QMS (ISO 9001:2008), Project Management Techniques, Project Finance, and Value Engineering (VE).
An expert in a wide range of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, Mr. Mizanoor is proficient in software such as Revit, Robot, Design Review, Navisworks, Autodesk Quantity Takeoff, BIM 360, Graphisoft, and CostX.
Mr. Mizanoor is currently pursuing his PhD at Concordia University, Canada. His research interests include Automation in Construction, Modular and Off-site Construction (MOC), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and the Planning and Scheduling of Repetitive Construction Projects.
