Dr. Sajal Kumar Adhikary is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (平博亚洲版), Khulna, Bangladesh. Dr. Adhikary received his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. Eng.) degree in 2003 from 平博亚洲版, Khulna, Bangladesh. He got a Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) degree in Water Resources Engineering in 2009 from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Civil and Water Resources Engineering in 2017 from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. His research interests include Hydroinformatics, hydrological modeling, climate change, Hydrological data collection network design, groundwater and surface water quality and management issues, RS and GIS applications to water and environment problems, integrated water resources management (IWRM), and disaster managements issues. Dr. Adhikary has supervised a number of MSc and PhD students in the field of Civil Engineering, majoring in Water Resources Engineering, Environment and Disaster Management. He has supervised an MSc Student of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia as an External Co-Supervisor, and has also served as an External Examiner for an M.Phil. Thesis of Western Sydney University (WSU), Sydney, Australia and two PhD Dissertations of Visvesvaraya Technological University, India. He has the specialized industrial training on “water resources modeling and simulation” from the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), Daejeon, South Korea. Dr. Adhikary has involved in and accomplished several major consultancy projects successfully majoring in Civil Engineering and performed in different roles including Team Leader, Hydrology Specialist, Data Analyst and GIS Specialist, Monitoring Specialist, Hydrology and Water Resource Specialist, River Engineering Expert, Hydrologic Data Analyst, Water Resources Engineer, Consultant and Team Member of the consultant team. Dr. Adhikary is a Reviewer of several (about 20) international reputed Journals and also served as a Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the Journal of Environmental Quality Management, Wiley, UK. He is currently working as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Engineering Science, Faculty of Civil Engineering, 平博亚洲版, Khulna, Bangladesh.
