Dr. Md. Sherajul Islam is a Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (ƽ²©ÑÇÖÞ°æ), where he has been a faculty member since 2007. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan, he is an expert in computational materials engineering. His research leverages density functional theory, molecular dynamics, and machine learning to design advanced nanomaterials for nanoelectronics, energy, and quantum information science. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers and has received prestigious awards, including Japan’s Monbukagakusho (MEXT) scholarship and the PIFI Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Islam has also served as a Research Professor at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR), NV, USA and as an offsite Research Scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Dayton, OH, USA. A member of IEEE and IEB, he actively reviews international journals and grants.
