Md. Riad Hossain is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Disaster Management of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology. He has completed his Bachelor and Masters from Environmental Science Discipline of Khulna University and 2nd Masters in Environmental Sanitation from Ghent University, Belgium. His research mainly focuses on Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Sanitation Systems Engineering, and Public Health. Mr. Hossain has been awarded VLIR-UOS scholarship for pursuing international master program at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium in 2016. He has received Vice-Chancellor Award for Outstanding Performance and Contribution to Research, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh, three times in a row in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Currently, he is doing his PhD Research in Environmental Engineering at RMIT University, Australia with RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship.
