Bio
Mr. S. M. Tariqul Islam is a Lecturer in Institute of Disaster Management (IDM) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (平博亚洲版). He joined the department in 1st April 2014. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Khulna University of Bangladesh. He has 15 technical publications. His research interests include Disaster prediction and early preparedness, Emergency response during and after a disaster, Disaster Modeling and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Research
- Disaster Management & Climate Change
He has experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Emergency Response Plan for Disaster Management. He also worked on Climate Change and Adaptation with it. Solid Waste Management is another field of interest of him. He also has some publications on the said arenas. He is the Organizing Secretary of WasteSafe Conferences which is arranged in every odd year started from 2009. He is also an editor of the Proceedings of the WasteSafe Conferences.
